Citrix Receiver has won the prestigious 'Best Mobile App for Enterprise' at the Global Mobile Awards, held at Mobile World Congress 2012 last week in Barcelona. With 67,000 attendees from 205 countries, the event is the biggest in the global telecommunications industry's calendar, attended by the heads of Asia's top telecoms players including China Mobile, ZTE and HTC, among others. The accolade demonstrates the impact Citrix Receiver is making on an increasingly mobile workforce.
"The 2012 Global Mobile Awards continue to showcase the greatest, most creative and innovative products and services driving the mobile ecosystem today and into the future," said Michael O'Hara, Chief Marketing Officer, GSMA. "With a record number of high calibre entries this year, it is a significant achievement to have been honoured in today's ceremony. The GSMA congratulates winners and commends all those taking part for raising the benchmark of contributions to mobile communications across the entire industry."
Today's workers are increasingly using multiple computing devices to access their desktops, applications and data. They are demanding a consistent computing experience across all of their devices. The powerful combination of Citrix Receiver, an easy-to-install software client, and Citrix XenDesktop® and Citrix XenApp™ gives users access to enterprise desktops, applications and data from billions of devices including smartphones, tablets and PCs. Citrix Receiver can also provide secure access to an intuitive app store-like interface for any Windows, Web or SaaS app from any mobile device.
This recognition is an exciting proof point demonstrating the Citrix vision of enabling mobile workstyles and cloud services for millions of users around the world. Read the thoughts of Chris Fleck, Citrix's VP of mobility solutions, on the award win in his blog.
